Nicole Wenzel

Nicole heads the Department for work safety, ergonomics and environmental protection at BMW Group plant Leipzig. She has been with the company since its foundation stone was laid in 2002, starting as a trainee in the body shop.

In her home region Zittauer Gebirge, Nicole studied industrial engineering specialising in production management. Combining technology and management is what she loves about her work. Most important to her, however, are the people she is working with. She believes in co-creation and collective learning as well as taking the courage to leave familiar ground from time to time.

She held leading positions in Lean Management and Human Resources. One of her favourite projects was a school holiday program for children of staff members.

Nicole Wenzel is a trained coach and supports environmental projects of the NABU, the Biotopverbund Leipzig and the Leipzig Auwaldstation.

Living in Leipzig with her daughter, she is passionate about redoing her own home.
